Filmhouse is a registered charity and one of the few truly independent cinemas left in Scotland.
We have been so touched by the outpouring of love and support since we were forced to close our doors in 2020. Last summer you rallied around us, and we were absolutely delighted and humbled to reach our fundraising target which helped re-open Filmhouse safely for customers and staff. With your support we can continue to stay open, and we are so happy to be able to see you at the cinema again!
You make us more than just great films and we need your help to keep going. COVID-19 has had a massive impact on the arts and culture sector, and Filmhouse is no exception. Keeping our customers and staff safe is our number one priority, and for the foreseeable future, this means that we will be operating at a significantly reduced capacity. Over 60% of our annual income is raised through ticket sales and from our Cafe Bar, so we need your support to keep us going.

When you buy a ticket to a film at Filmhouse, you'll be prompted to include an optional £2 donation, which we can also claim Gift Aid on if you are a UK taxpayer. Your donation helps us with the immediate challenge of running Filmhouse at a significantly reduced capacity. Please opt in if you can.
