Filmhouse is committed to managing its environmental impact. By monitoring, engaging and developing we will reduce our carbon footprint, reduce our effect on the environment and allow our patrons to make their contribution whilst visiting our venue. To achieve this we seek to achieve the following:
Measuring and Monitoring our Carbon Footprint
We are continuingly measuring our electricity, gas, waste, water and travel methods in order to establish a concise idea of our carbon footprint, and in turn seek ways to reduce this to a minimum.
Engagement
We look to engage staff, audiences and external stakeholders with our environmental strategy and goals, asking for their assistance in helping us achieve these.
Partnership
Working closely with the City of Edinburgh Council, Creative Scotland, Festivals Edinburgh Environmental Group and Creative Carbon Scotland we share knowledge, explore new initiatives and support our audiences and stakeholders.

We have demonstrated our commitment to the environment and reducing carbon emissions by achieving Bronze Certification in the Resource Efficiency Pledge.
