We are sad to announce that Filmhouse Café Bar will temporarily close from Saturday 7 November and that, even if permitted to re-open, we will keep Filmhouse Cinema closed for the rest of November.

The restrictions in opening hours and alcohol sales, and the closure of the cinema last weekend, mean that we have had declining bookings in the Café Bar. In addition, with the majority of cinemas across the UK now closed the impact on film distribution means that we do not see an opportunity to plan a quality programme and re-open our cinemas during November.

This decision has not been taken lightly as we understand how much of a haven both Filmhouse Café Bar and Cinema has been for many of our customers. We will reopen as soon as it is possible for us to do so.

In the meantime we can’t thank you enough for your support throughout this year so far and we look forward to welcoming you back in December (all being well) for all your Christmas favourites!
